Dr.

1, 2005. Bill’s history includes 3 pastoral charges, professor
and dean of students at Eastern Pentecostal Bible College, six
years as Superintendent of the Western Ontario District, and since
January of 1997, General Superintendent of The Pentecostal Assemblies

degree with a Pastoral Studies major in Counseling at Saint Paul
University in Ottawa and a Doctor of Ministry degree from the
United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. Bill serves on the

The
Dream Is Becoming Reality
Where do
pastors, missionaries, and their families go when they need help?
Who can they turn to? Who will understand the unique world in
which they live? Who can offer them practical insights and guidance
through the emotional brokenness they come to experience?
For many
years I have referred hundreds of wonderful servants to EMERGE
Ministries Inc. in Akron, Ohio. Founded by Dr. Richard Dobbins,
this counseling ministry has brought pastoral counseling and the
behavioural sciences together in a way that has helped restore
thousands of lives.
Along with
Al Saunders, I have dreamt of establishing a franchise of EMERGE
Ministries here in Canada. We are pleased to announce that this
is happening! Already, EMERGE Ministries Canada
is receiving charitable donations through the Eastern Ontario
District. I am pleased to report that EMERGE Ministries Canada
has the full support of both Eastern and Western Ontario District
Superintendents of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada and they
have each appointed a member of their district to sit on our board.
We are thankful to David Shepherd and Craig Burton for their visionary
support.
The success
of this ministry will initially depend on the charitable kindness
of donors. We invest in what we value. We would invite you to
consider supporting this ministry personally or through your church.
Please make your donations to EMERGE Ministries Canada,
c/o Eastern Ontario District, P.O. Box 337, Cobourg, ON K9A 4K8.
Jesus invited
his weary and burdened followers come to Him for rest. He instructed,
“Take my yoke upon you…..” Jesus is
the farmer. A yoke is built for at least two. We all need someone
to slip in alongside and wear the yoke with us. This makes the
yoke easy. The burden is lightened. The counselors at EMERGE can
be your yokefellows.
